The meeting took place at the Portuguese Government's Campus XXI building and was also attended by the Executive Director of the Executive Committee of World Gymnaestrada Lisbon 2027, Álvaro Sousa.

With the aim of publicising the organisation of the event, specific issues were addressed at the meeting, such as: the number of countries and gymnasts expected to attend; sports and event venues to be used; the impact on Lisbon and the rest of the country (in economic, sporting and tourism terms).

The Government was pleased with ‘the scale that the event will bring to Portugal’. The Federation, meanwhile, predicts ‘an impact on the development of gymnastics and clubs that will change the paradigm, increasing the quality and quantity of gymnastics for the future’.
