Teresa Loureiro takes over as Executive Director of Gymnaestrada

The Vice-President of the Portuguese Gymnastics Federation, Teresa Loureiro, has been appointed Executive Director of Gymnaestrada 2027, thus taking over the leadership of the organisation of the world's largest non-competitive gymnastics event.

“It is with a sense of mission and a feeling of duty to fulfil that I take on this role. I am not here to replace anyone. I accepted this position because we have a commitment to a large community, both nationally and internationally, and we must bring this event to a successful conclusion.”

The new Executive Director also highlighted the importance of collective work in order to meet the expectations of all participants and partners involved in Gymnaestrada, reinforcing Portugal's role as a host country for major sporting events. Gymnaestrada will take place in Lisbon between 11 and 17 July.
